You have found your self here: on Ellie's semi-kept-up blog.
Lots of tidbits and nothingness reside here. Don't feel obligated to read anything.
If you're interested, here's a random blog I wrote (+photos) while traveling in New Zealand in 2012: newsieland.wordpress.com

"God will show up"
Never understood that phrase. I mean, isn't God everywhere all the time? Sort of bugs me that we would insinuate he's only in one place--our place, this place.
Bothers me too. Because it's wrong. God won't show up---He's already here! It's US who forget about Him, ignore Him, fail to notice Him.
I've been noticing how many worship songs sing lines about asking God into our presence. Have you noticed that? Asking Him to come to the building, into the place were we are and make His spirit move us. I don't feel right singing lines like that... they aren't inherently bad, really, but they're skewed.
Instead of asking God to come into our presence, maybe we should ask God to help us recognize and acknowledge His presence. ? I don't know. That's the gist of a lot of my prayers these days.
