Welcome, welcome.

You have found your self here: on Ellie's semi-kept-up blog.

Lots of tidbits and nothingness reside here. Don't feel obligated to read anything.

If you're interested, here's a random blog I wrote (+photos) while traveling in New Zealand in 2012: newsieland.wordpress.com

With love,

Ellie

Not knowing the answers to my questions about God is one of the the hardest things I've ever had to deal with.

Faith.

Oh Lord, give me courage to have faith. Amen.

Answers can't be found unless questions are asked, first. I think that---even in terms of faith---it is definitely alright to question. To question is to search, and to search is to find.

God can handle our questions. And He has ANSWERS. I think that faith enters the picture when He doesn't answer our questions, and we are left listening to silence.... HIS silence.

But, then again.... maybe when we think God is not answering us---when we think that He is being silent---maybe it is then that He speaks to us the most. Is God really staying silent in the face of our questions, or are we being oblivious to Him and what He is saying? Or maybe when we think He is not answering our questions, the real issue lies in that we simply don't LIKE the answer He is giving us.

Also remember that trust is a part of faith, Ellie. When you are uncertain, in doubt, or just have questions in need of answers---trust in the truths you already know.

Listen to the song "Silence" by Joy Williams, and also the song "Never Alone" by Barlow Girl. Oh, and also "What If" by Nicole Nordeman.

I know music speaks to you and touches your heart more than anything else does... I hope these songs will. (They speak to me!)
